To alter or not to alter, that is the question?

On Sunday I got a belated birthday present from Hels, and I was so chuffed with what she got me that I just had to share! The begging question is do I alter it or not? It is already distressed, or what they call in the business shabby chic...but I just love it as it is , but I feel alcohol inks coming on... would you or wouldn't you?
Thak you Hels for the bestest pressie.. now I have to find a bit of wall space to hang it on!
Don't forget the post below to be in with a chance to win a £10 voucher to spend in the shop!

This is lovely...I'm going to be a dissneter and say that I like it as it is - however I'm sure it could be made even more beautiful by your inky fingers!

See, I have a problem with 'alter' - coz you aren't going to change the words or remove letters or make cutlery from it are ya? No. You're just maybe going to cover it in other colours and embellish it a bit, huh. Personally, I would leave it as it is until it's gathered some dust..then I would change it up a bit....

I would add some Grunge flowers...like a bit of a garland...and then if you get bored with them and the colour you can change it...glad you liked it hun x

I like it as is, but a previous comment suggested a couple of grunge flowers here and there, I like that idea, cause they can be removed if need be! Lovely gift!

That is the perfect gift for an artist. Maybe, add just a little alcohol? It is nice the way it is.

You could always just tuck some of your favorite goodies. flowers, atc's, etc. in the nitches, nest with eggs, you know all your favorites and change it with the seasons, so more of a display piece! Have fun!!!

I would cut some UTEE first then 'go for it'. x

I think it would depend on where you are going to put it. If you have a bright colourful wall, I say leave it. But if you have a more neutral area, I say add everything.

DO NOT ALTER lol

How bizarre, I spotted this in Bluewater earlier this evening & found it very hard to resist buying. It's gorgeous! Can't answer the altering question, although if mine I might add a few ribbons and prima flower or three!

Have you altered it yet?

Why would she give you something relatively plain, if not to alter a bit? I say go for it! I'll be sure to come and say Hi on Sunday, Judith x
